More About Solar Squad
Solar Squad is a group of eight 6th graders. Our team consists of Nour Aziz, Liliana Ordonez, Romayssae Saidi, Molly Brown, Michael Maglori, Asana Pollard, Daphne Tovar, and Gideon Pascal. We all care about the environment, and we want to help the Earth using solar power. We all are very different, but together we form an amazing team with one goal: to save the Earth with solar power!
Project Reservoir is a program where students from 6th-8th grade deal with real world problems. It’s a multi-year project designed, enforced, and controlled by the students of Christa McAuliffe School, PS #28 in Jersey City, NJ. The teams are responsible for making a solution for the issue they’re given. The students are enjoying a unique educational experience along the way. They get the opportunity to apply their learning skills to real world situations. Students gain confidence, leadership, and academic knowledge.
We have many plans for this year. We want to enter different challenges, such as Lexus Eco Challenge, Panasonic, and Samsung. Our team is going to make at least one invention that uses solar power. We want to teach others about what solar power is, and about the problems of fossil fuels and benefits of solar power. We want to get the word out about our team. We also want to encourage others to use solar panels instead of fossil fuels for electricity.

I'm in 6th grade at Christa McAuliffe School. I'm part of Project Reservoir, and I'm very happy because of that. Plus, I love science🔬and nature🌳! I love to help the planet🌎 , so that's why I was interested in joining Solar Squad☀️. I hope you learn a lot from our website!😁

I am in 6th grade and I am one of the two boys👨 in the group. I really enjoy sports 🏈🏀. I really like Project Reservoir because I am one of those people who cares about the Earth🌎. And there aren't many of them.😐 That is why I chose Solar Squad☀️.

I'm in 6th grade at Christa Mcauliffe School. I am part of Project Reservoir, and I feel so honored 🏆. Science and experimenting ⚗ is one of my favorite activities. Studying nature and Earth is really amusing for me 🌎. I'm so thrilled to be joining the Solar Squad. We will do everything we can to save the Earth. 🌞
